Spent about 3 hours at Rock Island Ponds this morning, with 4 largemouth to show for it. All on Senkos. Not sure what the water temp is but it is cold to the touch!

This sounds stupid, but what is a senko? I'm just getting into bass fishing a little and am not real knowledgable. And what do you do with them?

A senko is just a straight stick worm that are loaded with salt, med-med heavy spinning rod 10-12 Fluorocarbon fishing it weightless is key cast around any cover (docks lily pads ect.) and let the worm fall to the bottom on slack line I lift my rod to about the 11 o'clock position and let it fall again.

Cman2007 is right. In addition, there is no way to fish it wrong really. Most people rig it on a worm hook weedless, with no weight. Senko is the model, and Yamamoto is the brand/manufacturer. It comes in many colors. In the majority of places where I've caught Largemouth with Senkos, they seem to prefer the color Smoke with black and purple flake. Where the water is not too weedy, you can rig it wacky style....use a smaller hook, and impale the sendo right in the middle. Again go weightless. Smallmouth in boulder fields love it this way.

Wasn't me. I was on the pond next to the gravel pit/mining operation, where the floating pump is.

Ok, well maybe try that pond next. How do you access that pond?

Rough launch off highway 28, just past Central Washington Concrete's screening operation.
