Fished Lake Erie opening day with my son. We were on the lake about 8:00 AM and had caught our limits by about 9:30. Of the 10 fish caught, six were Triploid. My son used a corn flavored bait. I used a chartreuse colored bait. When eviserated, two of my fish showed other baits injested besides mine. Yellow and orange bait wads were found in addition to my chartreuse. The water temperature was 45 degrees and the air temperature felt colder than that as there was a slight breeze. If the air temperature had been a bit warmer I would have rated the expedition at five stars instead of four.
