Launched underneath I-90 at about 6. Temperature of the lake had not come up at all from last weekend, it is still ranging from 50 to 52 degrees. Headed straight for New Port Shores, there are fish in there just not that many yet. Boated a total of 7 in there between the three of us. Six smallmouth mostly in the 2 1/2 range and the one in the pic is a 3.14. Also caught a 2 pound large mouth which was cool cause I have never caught a largie in there. Left New Port Shores tried fishing the houses over by the bridge couldn't get anything fished both sides of the bridge nothing. Went up to Maydenbauer Bay (sp?) also nothing. All fish were caught drop shotting green worms. Anybody having any luck outside of NewPort? What you using and where at? I'm still trying to learn some more about this lake.

Nice. I haven't fished Newport the past couple of years due to fishing pressure. Glad you were able to pull some out.
