My son and I decided to give this lake a try a little earlier than normal, and we had a great time.It was really windy when we got there, but managed to wait it out and got a short window of opportunity.I think the pictures tell the story better than I can.We launched at the beach and you definately need a 4x4 to get the boat in and out safely. There hasnt been a report on this lake in a long time and even with the STS article I havent noticed any increase in fishing pressure. We caught four fish, all over 8 # and kept one for the barbie.I was going to keep this report to myself, but so many people have shared info with me that I thought it was time to give a little back!!!

That water is fishy. Good to see someone had a great day out there, best terrain in the state as far as I have seen. Nicest Laker I have seen excluding Chelan, what did you use and how deep?

I use herring mostly in this lake, but I have caught fish on lots of different lures.Anything resembling a kokane is usually the best bet. They almost always have kokane in there stomach when we clean them, but I have seen some white fish too.As far as depth goes,I caught these fish suspended down 68 ft in 135 ft of water, but that changes and its best to have a good fish finder on board so you can look for the most consistent depths, you will mark fish and you have to set your ball to where there at.I shoot for about ten feet above the fish and it works out pretty good.Trolling and jigging both work well,so try both. These fish actually fight a lot harder than the ones at Lake Chelan,I am not sure why but they are a lot of fun.Truly a great place to fish and some of the best scenery in the state. Thanks too everybody for the comments and Good Luck out there.
