Got onto Tanwax about 2:30 p.m. in search of LMB. Seen a guy pulling out with a decent bass boat and talked to him for 15 minutes while waiting for my buddy. This guy had caught no bass, so I figured the day would be long. It was. We fished with crankbaits and tried a spinner bait for a while, bottom fished plastics and even tried a bobber and a Crappie jig tipped with a worm. All total we caught one dink trout, one dink perch, and had a couple other bites.
Towards the end, I spotted a bench in the water near the tree line. Told my buddy that we need to go in and get that. He liked it and he has a swimming pool, so we went into the weeds and fished the thing out. It was one of those benches that you can spin the seat back up and it makes a picnic table. It is made from treated wood and fiberglass and looks as if it is nearly brand new, probably bought last summer. We loaded it up on the 10' Livingston and then struggled, a bit, against the wind coming back in, but we finally got there and snapped some pictures of our find.

Nice catch!!! At St Claire last year I caught an adirondack chair that had blown into the water.

That is funny. We talked about it on the way in and figured that the value of this bench/table made it more than an even trade for not catching any fish.

Has anyone caught any crappie in this lake, and if so, from the public spot or the Sunrise resort? If not, anyone know of a good crappie spot in the Pierce/King county area? Thanks.
