My first trip to Lake Joy this seaon. Light rain, water temp 57. I was searching for bass and expecting to find them in deeper water. Tried crankbaits and jigs without success. On a odd chance I tossed a deep running crankbait into shallow water hard against the shoreline and caught a nice largemouth (17", 11" girth = just over 3 lbs). That was exciting and fun, but although I tried other similar water, no more takers. Still and all, a good morning. Not a great photo, but I was in a hurry to put him back.
