I am so grateful to live close to so many lakes. I got to Clear Lake in 10 minutes and as I pull into the launch I wonder where I will park because there were so many rigs. There were four boats going in ahead of me and it all went fairly smooth. Got into the water by 9:15am and stopped fishing around 11:30 am but it took almost an hour just to get out of the water. It was very busy with taking out and coming in. Of course there were the not so nice people who cut in. As for fish, I caught several trout trolling on black and olive woolly buggers. Several more hooked trolling fake worms. On the way in I had a double header (2 pole endorsement) on the fake worms one trolled without weight and one with a small split shot weight which had a kokanee on it. All fish were smallish at maybe 9 inches. It was a catch and release day. The weather was cloudy with hardly any breeze. The only thing that would have been better is if there weren’t as many boats.
