Decent day on the lake, had a late start. I installed a downrigger on my boat this morning took it out for a test spin, within 20 minutes I nailed a nice 14" What a Presume to be a steel head (no coloring) caught it on the harry todd park side of the Island 40' down just off the no wake bouy. didnt catch anything after that but ran through countless schools of fish. I think had I started earlier, or stayed out later I could have caught a few more. Looking forward to Killing them tomorrow

There were alot jumping between the Island and the boat dock today, they are eating something just below the surface, seemed like they would jump when the boat was getting to close to them.

That is a cutthroat trout identified by the red slash marks on the "throat" of the fish underneath the gills, dead giveaway. The jumpers were more than likely kokanee. Try running your downrigger at 15 feet and/or running a line with a 1/4oz trolling weight or NO WEIGHT flatlined out the back for these fish near the surface.
