It was a beautiful morning in the float tube on Blackman's. Calm air and water temp at 57 degrees. Caught several small 'bows - all C&R'd - and missed the hook-up on a dozen or more hits. Most of the action was on black bugger, but also picked up a few on crawler suspended about 5' below a float. There were a lot of boats on the water and a few reports of decent success.

The ones caught on artificial can be released no problem... the ones caught on crawler (bait) must be kept, and if released still count for the 5 fish limit. So if you eventually catch 5 fish on crawler and released them all you should still leave the lake after the fifth... that's the regs...

First of all thanks for the report Guitarfisher, glad you had a great time out there, sounded like it was a wonderful day to troll a fly!

I have to say something here to spiegel and his comment: posting comments like yours is why I generally do not post reports anymore, what part of guitarfishers report made think he did not know what the effing regs are? You didn't even thank him for the report, you spout off random reg crap making it APPEAR that he, the person who has taken the time to post a report is breaking the rules. <BR>
Guitarfisher, thanks for the report, I havent been out to blackmans on a boat or a float tube yet, just off the docks, but I still have alot of fun almost everytime Ive been there. :)

Spiegel. He was trolling a wet fly/dry fly from a float tube....all artificial bait. Anything caught with BAIT needs to be counted towards the daily limit.

Thanks for the report Guitarfisher, I went out and tried on Thursday with trolling a black wooley bugger, green, red, Jameson Shrimp and a nymph and got nothing but 1 bump. Water was 57 degrees and a lot of action on the surface. Saw a few others pulling out the stockers with power bait and some dry fly's but not that much action since the lake was just planted in March. Was a nice afternoon though and didn't get blown off the lake.
