We went up to the lake at about 4:30pm and it was already dark. It was my first time ever fishing with a rubber worm, I was expecting to get nothing or else maybe a little bass, but after about two casts and letting the lure go to the bottom and doing short jerks my line had gotten a lot heavier and I thought that maybe I had snagged a branch. I brought it in, and had about an 8 inch rainbow. I did another cast in the 3 foot water and had been getting tons of bites and then I hooked a 13 inch rainbow, which isn't that impressive but it was fat and the fish at Cavanaugh aren't huge, the biggest one I've ever caught was a 17 inch rainbow, trolling west of the islands.
