Arrived a Lake Meridian at 7:30 this morning and found a good spot on the fishing pier. Most people fishing from the pier were catching fish today. I took home 5 trout. I would have given Today a higher score, but the average size of my fish was about 10 inches and it took me a fairly long time to get my limit. The first fish took about an hour. After that, the next 3 took about an hour more. The 5th fish (to give me my limit) waited about an hour and a half. I was ready to go home one short, but I knew that the lawn was waiting to be mowed so I held out for that 5th fish. The lawn was still waiting to be mowed when I got home!

Dartdwarf, don't pay any attention to the negative comments regarding the size of the fish you kept. The fact that you caught your limit tells me that there are plenty more where they came from and thinning the herd will only help in the long run. Also, if you are fishing with bait and barbed hooks, smaller trout aren't likely to survive after being released. Way to be persistent and keep it up!

The trout in this lake are underfed. Its not a very good lake for holdovers and its over planted with kokanee which do not get very big because they eat up there food source. Ignore the jealous comments and thanks for the report.

Regs state no minimum size, daily limit 5. No laws broken here - nice outing and nice report dartdwarf!

Good pan size fish in my book, way to go. I got to go back there and do some fishing soon.
