Started out at Greenlake at the South end around noon, no luck! Some little ones were eating the insects way out deep. Went to the north end. It started snowing for a short moment, not a bite. Took off and fished Magasun Park upside down from the sail boat dock to the boat enterance a mile south. I was throwing a combo of a white Jerkbait, a perch colored crankbait and verious worms on a 2' drop shot rig. I have had some nice early spring catches last year (Just moved here from Austin Texas) with a lot of slow, stop and go action but I can't find the fish or I've lost my patience. Does anyone who how deep the bass are still staging? I can't wait for Summer!!!!! I need a boat, ha.

I wish I could tell you, I haven't been out for a couple of weeks. They were last on points and the weedline around 17 to 25 ft. The weather was looking promising then, but lately it feels like January. They're probably still there, but the weather probably will shut them down.

Still to early dresscode5, it's Seattle. Kzoo is right, the weather was looking promising & now it's back to low 50 degree weather. We need a nice 3 weeks of weather, consistency is the key...

I have not even wasted my time fishing seriously, due to the weather.

You should look into purchasing a float tube or pontoon if you have the means to store it, etc

yup. 47 is right. Costco pontoon and an electric motor will get you where you need to go. You can even get a decent depthfinder that runs on AA batteries. The whole thing can be under 5 or $600. I've caught a few in deep water, 50-70', on jigs with nightcrawlers. A couple were 17-18" but most were 8-11." The water around Banks Lake is even colder, but the action was faster. This last cold front seems to have killed most of the bite. Good luck!

Thanks guys. It just sucks when you fine tune your gear and approach (other than a boat, canoe) and have to wait so long for nice fish. December through March are the key months in South Texas. How ironic.
