A friend and I had planned for a week to take our daughters to Banks, since it is spring break. We knew what the weather forecast was, but hoped for a little bit of a break. We got no break whatsoever! We spent maybe an hour on the lake. No bites. We only fished the upper end near Coulee Playland. Winds were probably 15-20 out of the east, with strong rain / sleet. Ambient temp was 40 or so; I'm sure wind chills were well below freezing. Water surface temp was below 42 degrees. There were 7 or 8 other bass boats that had launched, but we didn't talk to any of them. Our girls did great, all things considered. We enjoyed a visit at the tackle shop, enjoyed a nice ride "over the top" from Bridgeport to Grand Coulee, and had a good cheeseburger lunch.
