"When the guys who live on this lake aren't catching anything, that's a bad sign".

That was the best quote I heard yesterday. Went out for a few hours to see how this lake is progressing and talked to about 4 or 5 anglers who all said they hadn't gotten anything. One gentleman said he had a strike off the southern shoreline but didn't hook up. Water temps were around 46-47F with the northern shorelines still being the warmest. The good news is the main launch dock is installed making it far easier to launch and retrieve.

Good to hear the dock is out there. My guess is the bass are 5 to 8 degrees from getting very active at this lake. I was there a couple of weeks ago and caught a couple of browns. The weed growth had started but the water was cold. It always seems to me that the LIberty Lake bass population is a little warm blooded and needs 52 degree+ water to get going.
Happy Fishing

sorry to hear about the bad luck. bass in that lake are very finicky with water temp. my guess is after a little bit of sun. i will be out flipping docks for some of those big females getting ready for the spawn. something to look forward to. keep your line wet
