Spent four days camping in my motorhome at Quincy Lake. I had my Pontoon boat and fished when the wind and cold would allow -- NOT OFTEN FOR ME. It was 27 degrees Monday night and colddddd. There seemed to be two sizes of fish in the lake. I caught all eight inch fish and there were thousands of four and five inch fish. I could't drag a black wolly worm 50 feet without one of the small ones hitting it. I finally just ignored all the hits until something took the fly. A fun camping trip but still too cold to fish for this flyfisherman. There was a report of a woman landing a five pounder at the lake on Tuesday. Fishing was generally slow with reports of limits very rare.
most shore fishermen were averaging 2 or 3 fish a day. All the shore fishermen had a fire going. You have to pack in you own wood.
