I got on the lake about 730am and started out cruising the points trying to locate the smallies. Fished for smallies for 3 to 4 hours without a bite. This is my first year ever fishing for smallies and it hasnt been good so far. I switched over to trout fishin over by the V A hospital and located lots of schools of kokanees runnin in 50 to 55 feet of water. Fished that area for 2 to 3 hours and got one decent bow that was 19''. A flyfisherman show me a bow he got that was about 4lbs. Nice fish! I fished the south end of the lake for the final 2 hours and got a cutt and 1 more bow. Fishing was on the slow side.
