Instead of quanity we wanted quality so we didnt fish Caliche until the 3rd. A couple of us hit Caliche on the 1st and did quite well. 3 limits in about an hour in a half throwing powerbait. But we fished it on our way home for about an hour. We caught about 8 fish all 12" or so. Powebait, Kastmasters, and crappie jigs caught fish.

What color powetbait, kastmaters, and jigs caught fish? Nice weather for ya, I hope.

Yes it was very good weather. The Kastmaster that did the best was a RBT color and the most productive jig was a 1/32 oz chartrues. The color of powerbait didnt seam to matter

I was there yesterday having a blast with 4 other friends. Boated around all day just catching and releasing countless trout. my buddy fell trying to get out of the boat and everyone within earshot of the clu-clunk laughed in derision at the sight. I used a hot-pink vibrax for most of the day and a white crappie jig for the rest. Hey gpc, you didnt happen to have a black lab did you?
