Went to American lake for 1st time. Launched at public boat launch. I forgot the topo map I printed out so I mostly drove around checking out lake/bottom. I found two good humps once the water warms up, but no fish. I used blade baits, jiggin spoons, crawdad jigs and swim baits. Missed one a 3 inch goby swim bait in 35ft and missed one on a 5 inch yum money minnow in 30 ft of water. Fished for about 5 hours. Water was 46. Fished 15 ft to 50 ft depth.

Yeah that is about how it went for us on Saturday as well.

Yea american lake is very slow right now for all fish. I havent had any luck since october.

Might want to try wedding rings and night crawlers if you haven't already. My buddy and I have consistently been catching at least one trout the 6 trips we've taken there this last 3 weeks. But then again its only been in one spot every time.
