Trekked the 2.5 miles hike up to Fragrance lake and realized how out of shape i really am. Other then finding out how out of shape ive gotten i also found out there is a decent amount of trout in the lake. Me and my buddy got there around 9 am and started throwing black rooster tails out. It wasnt till about 10:30 till i caught my fish. I ended up with two 8 inch trout and my buddy had one 6 incher. There was also another fishermen there that landed 8 nice trout within 3 hours of fishing. He was using silver and orange spoons. My only theory to why the spoons were working better then the rooster tails is that the lake water there is still pretty cold and the trout or still somewhat lethargic. There for the slow spoon worked better then the fast spinning roo tail. Overall good day fishing and i now know what to use next time there.
