Don M, I am the “Fishin Musician’s” brother. I used to fish the north end of Lake Washington at Kenmore when it was just a dirt/sand bank 40 years ago. We started going out there again recently and were surprised that there was only one ramp there. We thought that there should be at least two ramps so that people could get in or out around those that take forever because they don’t know what they are doing. I (we) do understand the need for the big rocks just not the single ramp.

Now on to those perch. I was out there again fishing off of the point north of the State Park again. The Perch had moved into the 30 to 40-foot depth and were a bit harder to feel that light bite as the wind was bouncing the boat in the waves. The big perch didn’t show today but the ones I did catch all went 11 to 12 inches. Not bad when you consider that many lakes have 9-inchers that they think are big. I find that you will have better luck and more bites when you bait the hook with a worm and a piece of perch meat both at the same time.

I saw lots of Salmon jumping as they moved toward the river but never saw any brought to the boat by those that were out there.
