Well the weather cooperated and it turned out to be a perfect day on the water, only the fish had other plans. Slimy Slab and I focused our efforts South of Mercer Island and along with about 5 other boats. Seems that we weren't the only ones having trouble finding fish as all those we encountered had the same report, no fish and no strikes. The water surface temps are still in the 45 to 46 degree range and the water has cleared up quite a bit. We did encounter quite a lot of floating salad and other debris so keep your eyes open when running in this area. We headed for the north side of I-90 for a couple of passes and struck out there as well. Gear that was used for the day included herring, plug cut and whole, mini hoochies and Pro-Troll trout killers at depths between 15 and 60 feet. Someone please ring the dinner bell!

Thanks G-Man for your report, you are always very informative! We also fished Sat 1/30/10 from about 9am til 3pm, we went 10 for 12 all cutts and bonked 7 over 18". All caught on cut orange herring trolled 1.9mph 120' plus behind the boat around Coleman point. I think that was Us you saw Snake7676, were you in a little Arima? I'm out there (lake WA) very often, sometimes 3 times a week from Kenmore to Renton, and hope to run into you guys again! stop by and say HI! Dan, In the GREEN LUND FISHERMAN

Dan, way to go! I'll keep an eye out for your green Lund Fisherman. This is prompting me to look for a pic of my boat to post in my gallery. I'm normally fishing out of my white Raider Pro-Fisherman, fitted with a white E-tec and matching Johnson kicker. I usually have my marine radio tuned to channel 68 and a FRS radio set to channel 8, everyone is welcome to give me a buzz on either.
