Took a friend/co-worker up to show him Lake Samish and try some drop shotting for smallmouth, or anything for that matter! Got to the launch and the water was waves and whitecaps, ugh. Oh well, we drove up there, may as well fish!
Fished out in front of the first two creeks to the southeast, man was it tough holding position!! Marked fish out in 25-30 feet, water temp was 44-46 degrees, tried robo worms, grubs, even deep diving cranks, not a bump....
Ran all over the lake and the water temp stayed pretty consistent, there was also a good stain to the water from all the rain and melting snow I assume...
Rolled out shortly after noon as the wind did nothing but intensify all morning. We'll be back.
At least this time no tweekers smashed out my windows! lol
