Fished Lake Washington again on saturday. Trolled a 0000 flasher and red label herring at 28' to get this 17" rainbow. Southwest side of mercer island. Not the cutt I was looking for but its not a skunk. Had numerous takedowns and bagged one other 'bow about 13". There were 20+ boats out there with us and the ones I talked to were getting rainbows also. The bite started at 2pm for me.

Looks like that hen has just finished spawing. Did you find any large single eggs in the body cavity? Nice job out there.

Thanks guys, and yes I did find some single eggs in there. Does that mean she's a jack steel head?

No, it just means that it had finished spawning. All trout can spawn multiple times unlike most salmon that die after they spawn.

Yeah, I knew that. Just wondering if it was a sea-run trout(steelhead) or a local trout.
