Arrived at the public launch at 0830 unloaded the sleds and slipped and slid through standing water to my favorite area out from the launch, didn't have to drill a hole as the ones made by others were still open(watch out for these) put a couple of maggots on a small chartreuse and silve ice jig and lowered it down to the bottom the raised it about 4 inches . action was non-stop. changed places and looking for larger fish in shallowere water, nothing. Went back out to 30 feet cut out some perch eyes for bait and action resumed. filleted over 2 pounds and had a great supper. have fun but wear ice grabbers yak tracks

Those perch are like the energizer bunny. They keep going and going. LoL! How thick is the ice now?
