I had the great fortune to go out on Lake Washington with some other WL members this Sunday. A special thanks to Rfatt16, davidwat1 & Bigbass Dez. This was a day of firsts for me... First fish of 2010, first ever small mouth bass, first time on a bass boat, first time on Lake WA and most important, first time fishing with non-relatives.
This fish, estimated at around 3 lbs, came out of aprox 35-45’ of water. If I remember correctly the water temp was around 42 degrees. I caught it using a ½ ounce black football jig with a Reaction Innovations Sweet Beaver.
I gave this outing a 4 rating because any boated fish while winter bass fishing is a good day, and I had a blast! There were a few snags during the day as well, a couple of perch and a trout. All fish were released as usual. Thank you guys for showing me a great time winter bassin.
