Went out to blackmans lake today about 1pm till 6:00pm, Being a monday I figured it would just be a normal day, I forgot alot of people must still be on vacation. It was Kinda packed. There was about 6 people on the boat launch dock, about 5 boats in the water and at least 4 people each on the other two docks across the lake.
Caught one 13ish incher. Was a beautiful looking trout, I did not get a picture of it, since I left the camera in the car. And I released it to grow bigger. Other than that only had a couple bites. Met some more of the locals :) saw about 4 other trout caught, from my side of the docks.
Saw Hawgs-on unloading his monster boat into the lake! It must be at least 6 foot long!
Honestly I still had boat envy, He just took it out of the bed of his pickup and set it in the water and he was off. I caught him later on when He put in, he mentioned he had 2. Right on man!
About 4:30 or so as it started to get dark everyone left, I was the only one on the dock, Grabbed my flashlight and stuck it out for another hour and a half, but no more bites.
Just as I was loading my pole back in the car, up came a police officer and blew by me, turned around and came back. He informed me that the "park" closes at dusk.
That was quite a bummer. Ive night fished there a couple times, without much sucess, but It was still fun. Yes the lakes are 24/7 but the park evidently (and no its not marked on that side) close at dark :(
Anyone know a good lake to fish at night?
Tight lines.
Datsun.
