What a great day for fishing, had the entire lake to myself for at least four hours before anyone else showed up.
Was looking for Perch but the trout action was so hot I stuck with that.
Most fish in the 10-12" range, guy next to me caught one holdover that had to go three pounds, nice fish, getting my limit was easy.
The lake is very weedy so you'll have to fish above the bottom, we were using all trout baits and lures, but a crawler suspended from a bobber worked best.
There is a family of otters (hence the lakes original name) living at the south end of the lake that were a real kick to watch chasing and eating trout and playing with each other.
The boat launch is undeveloped and shallow and rocky, use caution and no motors are allowed in this lake.
It's a real gem of a lake, would like to see the state put a garbage can near the launch so all of the Bubba-Rays who fish and drink there would toss their empties in the trash, not the bushes and water !
Good luck !
