Took my kayak out to American Lake again and hit the water around noon. Fished several hours with no luck. Tried in close to the shore and saw several large fish on my FF. They wouldn't bite my rapala or my bluefox, or wedding rings (with and without flashers. Tried deeper water (60 feet) and marked lots of fish in the 10-30 feet range. They wouldn't bite either. Ran into another guy who had the same luck.

Tried trolling with worms attached to the lures and scent too.

Girlfriend tried jigging and dropping worms down.

Try a drop shot rig with 4 lb. flourocarbon with about 4' leader to the weight, with a nightcrawler, in 30-40 feet of water, preferably off a point. You will catch alot of perch in the process, but I've picked up some nice bows recently that way.

I might have to give that a try, but I really enjoy trolling better. I'm hoping its just the change in weather that has them lock-jawed. I'll be out there Wednesday-Friday this week I think, trying everything I can.
