Sparky and I headed to Banks lake on Friday. Tried to prefish a little before our tournament the next morning. Major winds were on the water. Sparky helped keep the boat on spots with the big motor because my trolling motor wasn't strong enough. We pulled in a lot of short fish off some rock walls and points. I boated a 2 pounder in front of a sand beach in the weeds.

Saturday- Day one of our club tournament we were having allot of troubles finding fish over 12 inches. I boated a walleye. The day was a wreck and we had no fish to bring to the weigh in.

Sunday- Day two first thing in the morning I boated a 2 pound largemouth straight across from coulee playland. Caught dropshotting a 3 inch orange tube suspended on a rock wall in 30ft. Fish did not put up a fight at all. We caught some more short fish and decided to go hunt the largemouth in Osborne Bay. Found an area where they were holding in deep grass. Finally had a limit. Crossed the lake into another cove we spotted and Sparky boated a nice smallie to cull one of our largemouth. Wind was picking up and we had about 30 minutes left. I started putting my gear away and sparky continued to fish til the last minute. BAM Sparky says Big fish. Fought the fish for a good five minutes. Finally boated the nice smallie and culled another LMB. Ran to weigh as fast as my little 40 yamaha could go. Weighed in a 9lb 10oz bag.

Took the family out fishing a couple times monday and tuesday. Everyone caught short fish. Beached the boat tuesday in a sandy beach area and let the kids swim. I waded out to the grass and nailed a keeper smallie.

Tuesday night I hit roosevelt- crescent bay and nailed a bunch of fish in two hours. I think it was better than banks was and wished I had more time to spend there.
