Well got to the lake around 8:30 after trying to find Wooten lake using google (not a good idea I really need a GPS). It was overcast but little wind. I started out throwing a 3" baby bass spook and nailed a 1 pounder right off the get go then it went to pot until about 10. Around 10 after trying every top lure I had and having made one full circle of the lake, I flipped over to a small blue black spinner bait and got another 1 pounder, then nothing at all after another full circle of the lake. At this point I was about ready to call it and thought I would setup for trout. 45 minutes of nothing but watching the eagles fly overhead I gave up on even the trout. Now I never give up until I actually land the boat so I threw on a blue gill looking rattle trap I had and started to troll home. Blam a 2 pounder not more than 30 feet into the troll. Okay I said that was luck so I cast out again started up the super all powerful 14 lb thrust trolling motor and in another 10 feet nailed another one. All in all 7 bass 5 trolling the rattle trap all under 2 pounds, but that set me to thinking about the next time I planned on coming out and how I was gonna convince the wife to let me go to the fishing store. Larget number of fish in a day since I got the bass bug again and leads into the 23rd report so check it out.
