Hit Cedar Lake Friday Evening , Fished from 4pm-7pm , Water Temp 70-71 , Clean , Clear water. Cedar is a very small lake , basicaly had to troll in a circle , but the fishing was Great , There was two distinct sizes to the fish in this lake. The recent planters going in the 7-9 inch range, caught many of them, all released. And the 14"-17"+ fish , Between my dad and I , we landed six over 15 inches , lost numerous others that were as large or larger. We Kept five to take home and smoke, plus they were wounded and probobly would have died anyways. Releaed the sixth one to be caught another day. Pictured is my Dad witht he biggest fish of the day (17 inches) and myself with a 14 incher.
All fish were caught trolling 2-4 colors of leaded line with a hand tied modified black woolly bugger using the swing jigging technique.
