Got off work a little early, and after working 70hrs in four and a half days I was ready for some unwind time! Hooked up and headed for Lake Whatcom to try the evening bite as it has been a while since I have done that.
Started out just south of the launch working the pilings, caught two in 8' of water on a green grub, they both hit it right as it hit the bottom, and were on the non-windy side of the pilings. Both went about a pound, and I was optimistic.
Peppered the entire area with spinnerbaits, grubs, crankbaits, ect... but only picked up one more little guy. Headed south along the west bank and alternated between spinnerbaits and jerkbaits over the grass, grubs around the rocks, and cranks from 2'-20', again this amounted to fish smaller than 2lbs.
That would be the story all the way down to Geneva Point.....and back!!!
I worked pilings out to 30', rocks, docks and just wasn't getting it done. This made for plenty of time to think about how tired I was from the previous four days working, so I left, it was a sleepy ride home, thank God for sunflower seeds!!
Water temps were right around 70*, wind out of the south 5-10mph. No pics as I didn't touch a fish over 2lbs. :(
