Went out to Mission today for trout and had a grand time. It was one of those days with gray sky and a slight breeze, and no one else was on the lake. Entered at ten and trolled the south end for forty minutes using a wedding band and had no luck. Then I anchored out on the shore opposite the launch, rigged up, and did a power bait event. It took me twenty minutes to find the right direction to cast from my spot, but then I could not keep them off. In the next hour I caught my limit, and went in with a nice group of 11-13 inchers to smoke up tomorrow. This lake is serene and beautiful, with a 5 mph limit, fish I can attest to, and at least today the bite was on. Keep those lines wet.
