This is the first time that I fished Pass Lake. What a great little lake.
I got on the water about 3PM and went down the center of the lake. The weather was partly cloudy, moderate southwest wind and 68 degrees. The surface temperature of the water was 69 degrees, with a very slight algae bloom.
I didn't read but a few fish on the fish finder, so moved in closer to shore and started casting a red bead head olive Carey. The fish appeared to be cruising the shore line, perhaps looking for damsel nymphs. I caught and released 10 rainbows fishing the shallows with a quick retreive.
Pass lake is a very enjoyable lake to fish. A great fly fishing only lake.
