Hit Lake Wa on Monday because work has been a little slow and it drives me nuts to sit at home on a great day like this. Got on the water around 1:00 p/m from Magnusen Park and headed over to the east side to try some top water frogs in the pads around Carillon Point. No luck hear so after about an hour and a half I went to the west side starting around Husky Stadium and headed North fishing the shoreline and docks. I was using mostly shallow crankbaits and spinners. First catch was a PB sqwafish Ha,Ha was about 20" long and maybe 2-1/2lbs. Around 4:00 p/m I hooked into the first SMB on a white shallow diving crankbait, weighed 3lbs. 5oz. An hour later caught a 2lb 9oz. Smallie on a white spinner. Caught another SMB a few minutes later but only weighed around 1-3/4lbs. White was the color of the day and although I was targeting LMB the 3-5 is a personal best for me for Smallies.
