My 2nd time on this lake and 1st time was last week and I only got one bite. This time a whole different story! we got on the water too early. First of all the fish didn't start biting untill well after the sun went down and the surface activity was insane (should've brought trolling gear). Last week we noticed fish hanging around 24ft this time they were all between 40 and 50ft of water over 100ft of water at the north end of the lake. Once we got our drop count down and stopped the jig in the right zone it was on. These fish bite the lightest of any Kokanee I ever felt or did not feel. The trick here is pull up on your pole slowly and let it down slowly and if there is any slight difference in weight set the hook.
Although the fish were on the small order averaging 8" to 9'' we did get some a little over 10'' and it was a fricking blast. I missed more fish then hooked, but, the three of us caught our Wed limit and our Thurs limit. We caught our last fish at 2:30 or should I say, one of my buddies finally caught his last fish at 2:30. 60 fish in 6 hrs is the best I've done since the 80s.
If anybody is wondering if we stopped before midnight after cacthing our Wed limt, well of course.
