The launch is realllllly low right now. I had to back my 18' boat back on the more gradual slope until the front door was well past the edge of the lake. The boat did finally come free (must have been very close to the drop off/clif). When I loaded I used the steeper (4x4 side) slope on the south, taking the wheels just over the drop off and than jerking the boat trailer out.
The bass were not real aggressive today, crawfish is still the key but three of us only caught 5 bass in 8 hours; nothing of any size. The rainbows started to feed on the surface as the shadow line formed. We only caught one (18"), loosing 3 more in about an hour.
One boat told us that they were only catching 6" to 8" rainbow the last two weeks (must have planted some in here within a the last couple of weeks), no browns in two weeks. It could be the bass and browns are just well fed with hatchery rainbows.
Be careful and good luck,
Steve
