Launched boat and started fishing by 6am. We hit every foot of shoreline, it's a small lake so that's not very difficult. Caught roughly 25-30 smallmouth by 11am, all C&R. None of them real big though, largest being about 1.5 lbs. It was my first time on the lake, I guessed they would be shallow early in the morning. Well I guessed wrong, we caught a few shallow; but most were in the 10-20 foot range. In fact, all the bigger ones were closer to 20 feet. I used smoke colored curly tail grubs and watermelon lizzards, also caught a couple off poprs, but that was it. Not a bad lake, not sure how often I will go back though. It's quite small, lots of boat and pwc traffic on nice days, there is nothing real spectacular in the lake to hold schools of larger fish (in my opinion anyhow). The lake is relatively shallow, roundish in shape, not many points, not many weedy or lil pad areas, a few small dropoffs underwater, quite a few docks along the shoreline, and that's about it.
