Hit the lake for an evening of fishing. I started at 6:30 on my new Caddis float tube/mini pontoon. Nice and high out of the water for a kick toon. Began letting out most of my sinking line and trolling leach patterns. Nada, nothing. About 8pm I moved in close to shore and began working patterns up against shore, then after seeing some rises on the lake I switched to a floating line and tossed some dry flies. Nothing, nada. Ended the day using the floating line and tying on a sinking nymph. I dragged that for a half hour - nothing, nada. A very humbling experience considering FLYRODR's report below. Still all and all a good evening. Kind of peaceful listening to the girl scouts singing songs from their lake meeting grounds. Definitely a special lake.
