Had high hopes for Chapman, as Roscoe said, fished all night with little to show . Used corn, mallows, eggs .. Fished through the night , no luck. I dont know If i would want to fish Chapman again. To many other good fisheries around.

Maggots Max. You weren't using Maggots. I did the same thing, and ONLY when I used the maggots did the fish bite, and once they started biting, it was ON.

Yeah... I was out there until about 1am yesterday and also had no luck. I even had great maggots from the General Store and still had nothing. I don't want to sound discouraging though, because I am new to night fishing. I can think of a number of things I did wrong in my method. We searched around the lake trying to find the fish...not an easy task in the dark sans fish-finder. Still, I am pretty sure that once we locate them and perfect our jigging technique, Chapman will be quite productive. I mean, it receives 100k Koke fry every spring....for the size lake it is, there have got to be a ton of catchable-sized kokes in there. I may have to break down and purchase a fish finder though. Anyone have an opinion of the Hawkeye F33P portable?
