I finally tried Chapman w/ my buddy and his wife. I have heard so much about its kok fisherie I was ready and willing at a moments notice to hit it. Saddly to say no fish, zilch, notta, nothing. I had one peck. My buddy had one about 4'' on and his wife not even a bite. There was a few boats out there near us and I seen one caught about 5''.

I believe the people I talked to and my buds that it usaully is frantict but not lastnight. I am starting to think they were exatruating about them being 12'' and small ones being 10''.

OK, some time in the next few days we are going to try Horseshoe and if that don't work I bet I can talk my friends to go back to Loon. I wouldn't mind trying Bead, Sullivan or even Davis for the koks.

Chapman is the worst lake I have fished in the area, and I have never seen a good report posted on it. Have you considered lake Roosevelt for kokanee? My wifes cousin fishes it hard for them and does quite well. I have seen some upwards to 3 pounds he has caught. I think he fishes the Hunters / Lincoln area and trolls deep for them. I'm not sure what he uses, but he tells me he can usually find them. Good luck!
