Well last night was extremely slow. We got on the water about 6:00pm and tried trolling untill later in the eve. Not even a hit. Marked tons of fish south of Granite suspended in 45 to 42ft above 50 to 55ft depth (esp in front of the bay) . Should have tryed still fishing there.
We fish the east side just north of Granite Point untill 11:00 and only caught Perch and Bluegill. So we moved to our stanby spot on the northwest piont and caught one small Mack right away fishing 30ft of water. We moved out to 35ft of water at 12:00 and at 12:30 we caught 4 fish in about half an hour and after that untill 2:00 nothing so we called it a night.
I don't know if I will head back next time, my buddy with boat is ready to try Chapman and I would like to try Horseshoe. My buddy slaughtered the Koks last year in Chapman and when I was a teenager my uncle and I used to limit every time in small Silvers at Horseshoe north of Deer Park. Both fish pops in these two lakes are smaller then in Loon or Deer.
I have heard rumours of people doing fairly well on Deer Lake for small Silvers but I havn't been able to confirm that. Anybody else been hearing this.
