Got out on the lake around 2, first fishing trip in a while for me. I threw a dropshot rig most of the day, alternating between this green WCCT ridged worm thing I don't know the name of, and orange WCCT dropshot worms. I took my raft around to the usual spots but wasn't able to stick around long with the wind. The few times the wind did let up, I would catch a fish, usually a dink smallie.
Around 5, I hit a deep dock that has been known to host some big fish. I made some casts into 20-25' water, and finally hooked up with something solid. About this time, fishingmachine pulled up in his boat after ignoring me all day in favor of his girlfriend. After one jump and a good fight (I'd say around 5-7 minutes), I lipped a nice 4 pound 3 ounce smallie. fishingmachine weighed the fish on his electric scale and took some pictures for me. Which was lucky, because I ended up dropping my phone in the water and losing my pictures. I'll post the pictures once fishingmachine gets them off his phone.
Left the lake around 7 with a total count of 4 fish. Tough day, but the big one made it worth it.
