Went fishing here yesterday. Arrived about 8 a.m. and trolled a black wooly bugger for about half an hour with no touches. Then anchored off the first point down the east side of the lake in about 35 feet of water and tossed out a green/white power egg combo. Nothing for twenty minutes. Then about 9, wham, the bite hit. Caught fish casting in every direction. In the next 45 minutes brought up 8, including one skinny one with a rusted out hook in its throat that may have been just getting back to feeding. Kept 5. They will be good in the pan. A clear sunny day on a lake, with a light breeze, is evidence for why I fish.
