I got my boat back from the shop (New Computer in the 115 Yamaha) can we say BIG $$$$$$.$$ I decided to head up to the upper pens this morning because I hadn't made it up river that far and I wanted to see if there was any good fishing left after Outdoor Chris had given all the available fish a little taste of his Trout Pellet Fly. I left my fly rod and Trout Pellet Flies at home today so that the fish could have a sporting chance. The weather was beauitiful with a temp of about 70 at 6:00 am and over 100 when I loaded my boat at 3:00 pm. The fishing was slow due to the lack of current. I was able to pull fifteen or so nice Triploids out of the area around the upper pens. I had to keep one that was foul hooked. He weighed 4.5 lbs and tasted great for dinner last night. I used most everyting in my tackle box. I only threw each offering a couple of times and if I didn't hook up...I switched to something else. The hot setup today turned out to be a solid black jig that I tied up a couple of days ago. (See Photo) Hey Outdoor...send me a PM with your email address and I'll reply with the photo that I took as I trolled by you on the way back down river.
