After reading the success BucketMouthCatcher had on bass at Lake Geneva, I decided to take the boat out and try to get a few bass myself. Fished for 7 hours and had no luck at all on the bass. Only found tiny bass (2-6 inches) sitting under docks. Water quality was clear and could see the bottom in approx. 8-10 feet of water. I gave up on the bass and started trolling for trout and caught one 14" rainbow, and one 12" rainbow. Had a few other hard hitting strikes but missed the hook set. It was a great day to be on the water, however, a long day for a couple of fish.

some of those fish may be lure shy after being caught recently. Also they may have moved a little deeper with the sun being out early now. I went to Ohop yesterday and I also got skunked. I think they where feeding heavy the day before and not so much friday with the weather change. Geneva has a good breakline in the weeds at about 8-12 feet of water that produces well when its hot out.

I did well throwing big swim baits like the casitas trout and 6 inch rainbow swim bait with no weight just before dark .I do my best fishing the left side going clockwise to halfway wich is the big limbs on the east shore .You dont get alot of fish but fish you get are quality. The house with the nice bricks about halfway down on the left is a great spot.

I fished it from 5 am to 4pm last time out. It was a long day =) . Only reason I left when I did was because my buddy had to get going home.
