Arrived at Long Lk at 4:45 am. My buddy Rod was running a little late so sitting at the launch I made some casts with the spook with no takers so then switched to the rod with the jig and first cast bam a 4.14 lb. Then Rod showed up and we headed up the west side sticking with the jig I landed a 2.13 and then Rod landed a 3.5. By this time we were at the park and fished down the east side no more fish were caught. All fish released. The tide was low by 10:30 and the bite was off. Scott Stacy was out there and so was Marc and his better half I don't think they caught any thing. You have to get there early in the morn not at 11. We stayed until 3:00 pm and headed to the launch there was about 300 skiers wake boarders and people just out for a ride in there boats There were only about 9 ski boats but it seamed like 300. It was a good morn with no wind and no other boats on the water until 10:30 or 11:00. Water temp has gone up to 74* by the time we headed out. I have to say that most people on the water cant load there boat with out getting up to there chest in the water what a sight. lol !

I have seen the comment before"The tide was low". What does this mean when you are in a lake?

The pull of the moon and gravitational forces are always at work and can effect fish in many ways. Just like reading moon phases. Except on a daily basis. The tide is just a way of being able to see these forces at work daily. With out the tide actually going in and out how would we know. High tide can be a peek time for fishing and I can attest to this.

Nice work out there boys.
