Hit Deep Lake on this weekend , Read a previous report about the lake having bass, I thought it was totaly bogus , But had to check it out. Spent 2 hours fishing pads on north end of lake and shallows, No bass . Talked to several locals that live on and fish lake daily. No bass in Deep lake.
The previous Poster must have been confused with a different Deep lake, as the Deep lake in Stevens county also has a max depth of 40-50 feet , not 140 feet as previously mentioned. So PLEASE Disregard the previous fishing reports on this lake.

Anyways, to the report, after giving up on the "bass" went to leaded line with a Wooley Bugger , about 3-5 colors, trolling the shorlines, limited out in about 45 mins . They are not all that fun to catch, all of the fish in the 8-12 inch range, didnt catch any carry overs , but the little ones are good for the smoker.

This lake does have a ton of small trout in it , not alot of pleasure boaters, and very easy to catch a limit of trout out of here.
