This had to be the best fishing day at Lacamas ever. I had my doubts on this lake, but man was I wrong. Got at the lake around 7 for a birthday get together, got the picinic tables and brought a boat. Was a lot of fun, went for bass for the first thing, and didn't even get a bite. So then we went to our fishing hole at the lake. Got ankered up and I threw my line in the water, my bait didn't even touch the ground and my pole started tipping. Then, the fight was on. I knew it was something HUGE, my 6 foot pole medium action was tipped over like deep sea fishing, my drag was spinning like crazy and I thought it had to be a huge catfish or sturgen. As I got it up to the boat it jumped in the water and swam back away, finally got it up in the net and it was a BEAUTIFUL 18" Rainbow Trout. This was the biggest fight of a rainbow I ever came across. Ended up catching 2 more 13" rainbows by the boat dock and missed another huge fish. I set the hook, played him for 5 seconds, until I got snagged. Was horrible, and happened to my uncle too. There is one smart fish down there -.-
