Went to Banks Lake for 4 days. Two boats and 6 people fishing on and off all weekend. The fishing was fair. We could catch dinks all day every day but the bigger fish were a little tougher to find.
The water was really clear. Some spots you could see the bottom at 20+ feet. Saw fish all weekend but to get them to bite took almost a miracle.Water temp went from 70 down to 60 in some shady spots. Out of the 2 boats there were 6 fish caught over 2 pounds each. 3 LM and 3 SM. Caught a bunch of dinks and several 1-2 pounders. My daughter finally caught a couple. We were using mostly plastics. Cabelas' scalloped tail worms in all colors seemed to work the best although I used a Yum forked tail senko in green with purple and gold flake. That caught me a 2.5 pound largemouth and a 1.2 lb Largie. All in all a great weekend with friends and family. Big WA B.A.S.S. Qualifying tourney going on. Saturday the top weight 5 fish was 13+. not very high but there were some really big fish. Also had the boat races over there this weekend so things were very busy to say the least. Sorry I don't have pics. I am not that technical. Besides I have witnesses! Great time except for the mosquitos. Bad this year.
